Snowy Baker was a very popular Australian sportsman and movie star who found success in American silent films.

Snowy Baker was born in Sydney and competed at either state or national level in an incredible 29 different sports reaching international level in five of them. He competed for Australia in rugby union, diving, boxing, swimming and polo. Baker was also accomplished at rowing, equestrian events, athletics, cricket, yachting, fencing, surfing and hockey. He followed his fathers philosophy that varied activity and the enjoyment of good health was the law of life.
