THE TENDER TRAP Original 3 Sheet Movie Poster Frank Sinatra

Original hand litho Australian three sheet approximately 40" x 80" folded as issued, folded as issued, very good condition, fold and edge wear, some nicks and slight paper loss, minor signs of ageing (see enlarged photo). Each panel on this three sheet has been glued together so that it could be easily displayed.
The poster comes from a collection of three sheet movie posters recently discovered in country Victoria. Some of the three sheets in the collection had the panels glued together so they could be easily displayed and this will be specifed in the condition description. Condition varies on the posters as they are very large posters but they display well. Linen backing would easily address any issues that they may have.
NOTE: Australian three sheets were printed in very small quantities and few have survived. These posters are among the rarest of all Australian posters.

The Tender Trap (1955)

Directed by Charles Walters.

With Frank Sinatra, Debbie Reynolds, David Wayne, Celeste Holm, Howard St. John, Carolyn Jones, Jarma Lewis, Willard Sage

The Tender Trap is a CinemaScope comedy starring Frank Sinatra, Debbie Reynolds, David Wayne, and Celeste Holm.
Based on the 1954 play The Tender Trap by Max Shulman and Robert Paul Smith, it marked Sinatra's return to MGM some six years after On the Town. A second film under a new contract with the studio, Guys and Dolls, was actually released ahead of The Tender Trap by one day on November 3, 1955.
The film earned an Academy Award nomination in the category of Best Original Song for " the Tender Trap". The song proved a hit for Sinatra, one he would continue to sing throughout his career. It is performed in a pre-credits sequence by Sinatra, sung in the film by Reynolds in a lackluster version that Sinatra corrects and yet again at the end of the film by Sinatra, Reynolds, Holm and Wayne.
