RARE Original hand litho long Australian daybill approximately 15" x 40" folded as issued, good - very good condition, chips out of top border, a two inch tear lower rh side extending above the "n" in Denning, a few small one inch tears along borders. The poster displays well as is with all artwork intact but it would benefit from linen backing.
Artwork for this poster was produced by the famed Richardson Studio, renowned for their unique and striking graphic art. The Richardson Studio was founded in the 20s by John Richardson and produced the artwork for primarily Paramount posters through to the early 60s. Their posters are probably the finest examples of the hand litho process and they are now very hard to find.
"Long" daybills were produced in Australia until 1940/41 when they were replaced by the more familiar smaller format. Long daybills varied in widths from approximately 14 - 16 inches wide x approximately 40 inches in height. The measurements given in the descriptions are appoximate to the nearest inch.
